Leukorrhea Panel
A leukorrhea PCR panel is a test that uses polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to detect the presence of three common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in vaginal discharge samples from women. The three STIs are Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Trichomonas vaginalis. These infections can cause inflammation, irritation, and abnormal discharge in the female genital tract, and may lead to serious complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and ectopic pregnancy if left untreated. A leukorrhea PCR panel is a highly sensitive and specific method to diagnose these infections and guide appropriate treatment.
